These are the key areas of interest on which the KLCA are currently focusing their time:
LAKE PLAN COMMITTEE
directed by Eric Millar - focused on all aspects of the health and development regarding Kawagama Lake and includes:
- Environment - directed by Adam Rosso
focused on education and communication to maintain the health of Kawagama Lake.
- Water Quality - directed by Jennifer Watson
focused on education and monitoring of Kawagama Lake water quality.
- Development & Municipal Liason - Former Director: Chuck McDonald
focused on liason with municipalities to ensure responsible development.
- Fisheries - directed by Jennifer Gilland
focused on fish habitat and spawning activity.
- Lake Partner - directed by Todd Millar
an MOE administered and funded program, designed to enlist volunteers to establish certain well defined parameters for Ontario lakes. Water is tested for clarity, phosphorus, and water temperature.
- Lake Levels - directed by Brad Carnduff
focused on monitoring the water management plan implemented in 2006.
In addition, we have the following positions and activities:
- Advertising - directed by Don Abel
focused on maintaining and increasing the number of businesses advertising in Reflections Yearbook.
- Boating Safety - directed by Rob Walisser
focused on boating safety and etiquette.
- Communications - directed by Leslie Henderson
focused on providing timely and effective communication to KLCA members on topics of interest.
- Membership - directed by Marion Michinsky
focused on membership privacy, enrollment and increasing total membership.
- Navigation - directed by Dave Thompson
focused on safe navigational markers on Kawagama Lake.
- Reflections - directed by Patricia Davidson
- Regatta - a team effort!
- Web Site - directed by Pat Boyd
focused on providing a timely, easy to read and informative web site.
