The KLCA Annual Meeting will be held on July 4th at 10:00 am at the Dorset Recreation Centre. We hope you can join us for coffee, tea and baked goods as well as a chance to catch up on what’s going on in your cottage community.
In addition to giving you the opportunity to elect your Board of Directors, we are pleased to be presenting the early results of our 2026 Lake Plan Survey. If you haven’t seen or responded to the survey, this will be a chance to provide your feedback on what matters most to you and your family.
Key topics to be discussed include:
Best boating practices including wake issues, speeding and navigation markers
Environmental stewardship as it relates to water quality and preserving a natural, healthy shoreline with indigenous plantings
Guidelines for cottage and outbuilding construction as well as other development trends and how important it is to adhere to municipal bylaws to maintain the character of our community
Other KLCA initiatives including our financial situation, the recipients of our donations and the events we organize and sponsor on your behalf.
At the Annual Meeting, we will also officially welcome new board members: Barbara Walker-Renshaw as Secretary, Frances Kampouris as Environment Chair and Jill Anderson as Regatta Chair.
