KLCA Lake Marker Program

  • 1 min read

KLCA has revised our Lake Marker Program. We’ve done this to meet DOT standards and to better identify lake markers that are managed by your lake association.

We have developed a Lake Market Policy and complimentary Marker Map to identify marker locations (see below)

KLCA buoys will have three readily identified labels attached: a PRIV label; a alpha identifier label; and a KLCA owner/contact label. (see examples below)

We are grateful to all the volunteers who place, maintain, and store our markers. Bern Bombardier, Bruce Norman, Bruce Macpherson, Eric Doetsh, Scott Holiday, John Bowering, Don Early, Steve Ulbinas, Paul Lucas and Paul Stevenson

Special thanks to Bruce Macpherson at Mountain Trout House for use of his barge and storage facility.

Thanks to Sara Goodchild (former board member) and Designer David for preparing our marker map.

Volunteers willing to “adopt a marker” are welcome. Please send a note to info@klca.org.

Safe Boating!
