This chart show the Kawagama lake levels to March 17, 2025.
The lake was above target until mid-January due to the significant rainfall received at the end of Dec 2025. The level was then close to target form mid-January to Mid-March when dam operations started to raise levels to attain summer level values.
Of interest, MNR stated that area snowpac held 133 to 203 mm of water in early March which was within the normal range.

This is the Kawagama lake levels chart comparing 2024 actual levels to targets. The target levels have been in place for 15+ years.
You’ll note that levels were often above or below target as MNR attempted to reach accepted levels.
Late February levels were raised early as there was little snowpack to fill the lake
In mid-June we received almost 100 mm of rain causing our lake to rise well above normal operating levels. It took ‘til the end of July to get back to BMP (Best Management Practice level). And by the first week in Aug more rainfall raised levels again.
By the first week in August levels were maintained close to the BMP level until Mid-October (lowest target level of the year) when levels rose again as required.
Levels were somewhat high during the fall and then started to rise dramatically around Dec 27 again due to significant rainfall.
