Giant Hogweed

You may have noticed the giant hogweed plant that was marked near the construction on Kawagama Lake Road. This plant can cause serious burns and shouldn't be touched. If you think you have giant hogweed on your property or if you see it in your community please call the township of Algonquin Highlands or the Invading Species Hotline at 1-800-563-7711 or visit EDDMapS Ontario to report a sighting. You will be asked to send in photos for identification. Please see the link below for more information.
